ABOUT THE DEPARTMENT

 

The Department of Modern Languages at Lakshmi Girls’ Hindu College has evolved tremendously over the past fifty years of the school’s existence. In spite of starting with meagre resources, the department has had many achievements. Today, the Department of Modern Languages is equipped with modern resources that promote foreign language learning.

 

The Department of Modern Languages can boast of achieving 100% passes at the CSEC and CAPE levels for French and Spanish. This is due to the hard work and dedication of foreign language teachers. Students were inclined to pursue French and Spanish because of the passion of their teachers for foreign languages.
